Une 4eme volume des 'home videos' de Pantera sort ou va sortir. J'ai jamais trop compris l'intérêt de ces vidéos où on trouve principalement des images backstage du groupe en train de picoler et de foutre le bordel. C'est marrant 5 minutes mais 15 ans après la dissolution du groupe (putain le coup de vieux)...  


PANTERA has released a new teaser for the band's long-awaited fourth home video as "a special '4' 20 surprise" on Friday, April 20. Check it out below.

PANTERA's last home video, titled "3: Watch It Go", was released in 1997 on VHS format through Elektra Records. The set featured over two hours of music videos, concert footage and various backstage clips.

"Dimebag" Darrell Abbott's longtime girlfriend Rita Haney told the "Talk Toomey" podcast in a 2017 interview that the release of PANTERA's fourth home video will depend on the success of the "Dimevision Vol. 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over" set, which contains video footage of the late PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN guitarist captured between the mid-'80s and his later years.

She said: "There's not a market for DVDs anymore, and that's what the industry told us. They passed on [releasing 'Dimevision Vol. 2'], and I had to go to our really good friend Brian Slagel, just to get this going with Metal Blade. So this video is kind of, 'We're gonna prove you wrong. There's still this strong cult following for PANTERA home videos and 'Dimevision'.' So if the people get out and really support this package and go old school and not the digital format… 'cause it's so hard to get clearances for every little thing. That's exactly why the previous PANTERA videos are not out there on iTunes that you can get them, because trying to go back and get all those clearances, it would be so expensive today, there's no way. So we have to go with the old-school format. And if people will support it and show the love and it does well, then that gives us the green light for the next project. So it's really gonna depend on that."

Haney added that she has "so much footage" for a possible new PANTERA home video. "'Cause you have to think, after [1994's] 'Far Beyond Driven', there was still, like, four huge two-year tours for the live [album, 1997's 'Official Live: 101 Proof'], [1996's] 'The Great Southern Trendkill', [2000's] 'Reinventing The Steel'… So there is more than enough for more than one volume than four, for sure."

"Dimevision Vol. 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over" was released in November via Metal Blade Records. The DVD/CD set — which includes more raw footage, true gems and classic Dimebag moments — also contains five previously unreleased demos, picked from a vast catalog Dimebag accrued since Haney gave him his first four-track in 1984.

Paradise Lost a la manie des remasters en ce moment. Après Host, c'est Believe In Nothing qui subira un remixage et remastering par les bons soins de Jaime Gomez Arellano, qui collabore avec le groupe depuis l’album The Plague Within (2015). Sortie prévue le 29 juin.

Le chanteur Nick Holmes déclare : "Ce n’est pas un secret que nous n’étions pas entièrement satisfaits de la production de ce disque, malgré le fait que nous aimions vraiment ces chansons. Cela a mis du temps, mais nous avons enfin trouvé le bon moment pour retourner en studio avec Gomez.[…] Nous espérons que vous apprécierez la version remasterisée en entendant comment les chansons étaient censées sonner."

DEW-SCENTED are no more!

All good things must come to an end...

And it's now been 26 (!) intense years of sacrifices for the thrash metal cause for us. Despite numerous setbacks, DEW-SCENTED never split up or even stopped for any significant amount of time. We were always blessed with great opportunities and a strong will to soldier onwards.

All in all, we have had an amazing ride with this music we love and not only played countless great shows across the globe, but released ten (!) albums and most importantly, we made tons of life-long friendships along the way because of the band.

But it's time to realize that we won't be able to forge ahead much further because DEW-SCENTED just won't work without complete and constant dedication. And giving such a full-time commitment simply isn't possible anymore because of how life otherwise evolved throughout the years.

Having acknowledged that fact, we feel it's best to wrap the band up in a proper way, with a purely positive feeling. To go on our own terms and with the best possible "conceptual end" (like the song on "Issue VI", haha!), instead of leaving our destiny to chance or someone else’s actions.

DEW-SCENTED will therefore perform a last run of shows in the coming months and then have a very last special show in the group’s hometown Walsrode in Northern Germany on Saturday, October 6th, 2018 to celebrate the band's legacy in style one last time.

Who knows, maybe we still manage to add some more last minute date(s) for the rest of the summer, but after October 6th, there will be no more frontline activities for DEW-SCENTED, no planned concerts and no further recordings.

We would like to thank everyone who has encountered, enjoyed or supported DEW-SCENTED at some point and in some way throughout the years. Basically to all of you reading this here!

Professionally, we would like to thank our record company Metal Blade as well as our previous partners at Prosthetic, Nuclear Blast, Grind Syndicate, Steamhammer/SPV and all their affiliated licensing associates for releasing and promoting our music.

Also thanks and cheers to all our former members or session players, our buddies in other bands, media outlets, publishing partners, booking agents and the local promoters who got involved with us in some capacity.

We will hopefully continue seeing you around in one way or another again!

Don't forget that the music is out there and will forever remain available for all of us, especially if we keep supporting the scene and the young, talented bands out there!

And to end as we started, with another proverb: all’s well that ends well.

White Wizzard aussi.

Well the time has come.
I started White Wizzard in late 2007 a little over 10 years ago.
With the first line up we crafted a great EP that sadly had too much
talent in one band to last…..
From there….I wrote 4 full length albums I am very proud of and had some fantastically talented musicians
that played on them.
Regardless of the internet bullshit written about me or the band, it was formed in the spirit of the music I loved and
nothing more.
It has always been about the music to me.
I feel all of our work has been world class and not only do I feel it is the best and most consistent in the “classic metal revival” genre so to speak…
But I feel our last and final album Infernal Overdrive can hang with anything put out the past 20 years in rock and metal.
I am very proud of the work this project has done. I feel it can and will stand the test of time.
But time does pass and some things run their course.
So unfortunately I have to announce that White Wizzard is over.
There will be no more albums or live shows. The last album is it. I am glad we got to do it.
I am proud of the latest video for Chasing Dragons and I wish all members of the band past and present well
in their musical and personal journeys.
For me, a new ticket and a new ride must be bought and taken.
So as this journey ends, a new one begins.
This will be my last post about this. It is time to end Jon Leon as well.
Keep making music and loving it, because there is not much else in this world that is as real and special.

Ca doit être les boules pour ceux qui attendaient DSO ! En même temps DSO et Brutal Assault, ça a beau rimer, ça ne sonne pas tout à fait comme des mots de la même famille...

Pareil. Ce sont quand même des noms assez connus qui se barrent, j'aimerais pas avoir déjà pris mon billet.

Et on ne va pas à un festival "uniquement" pour 5 groupes, il me semble

Euh, j'ai déjà vu des gens aller au festival pour UN groupe. Les têtes d'affiche peuvent te pousser à prendre ton billet, ce que tu n'aurais pas fait avec uniquement des groupes peu connus (ou que tu n'aimes pas, bien sûr), aussi nombreux soient-ils. C'est un peu pour ça que les organisateurs les programment, en général.
C'est clair que l'affiche du Brutal Assault est monstrueuse en nombre de groupes programmés, il y reste quand même de quoi faire.

Ouais mais c'est loin. Allez plutôt au Black Bass Festival.

Il est important de noter que la moitié de la liste est composée d’albums qui ne sont pas sortis cette année. On peut mentionner aussi que Ghost se retrouve au 11ème rang, bien que son album soit sorti au début du mois.

Certains de ses nombres ont été au centre d’une controverse chez Billboard puisque certains groupes ont utilisé la technique de donner un CD à l’achat de billets de spectacles. Les ventes ne sont donc pas représentatives de ventes réelles, mais bien de la popularité des spectacles de ces groupes.

C'est pas parce qu'il y a un "buzz" et que c'est à la mode d'aimer ce groupe que c'est forcement mauvais.

Ça par exemple, moi j'adore:

Il est peut-être bien le dernier album... Ou alors, c'est eux qui donnent les cds pour l'achat d'un place de concert.
