ENFORCER - From Beyond (27 février)

Swedish Heavy Metal act ENFORCER has finished the recordings of their upcoming new album, called »From Beyond«. This fourth ENFORCER record will contain ten new songs, produced, mixed and mastered by the band on their own.
The album will be out on February 27th (EU), March 2nd (UK) and March 10th (US). Pre-sales start today.
Vocalist and guitar player Olof Wikstrand comments: "»From Beyond« is faster, heavier, louder, darker and more vicious all at the same time without losing a tiny bit of what ENFORCER stand for. A fist in the face of all current trends and a stake through the throat of modernity. Total metal!"
»From Beyond« will be released on a limited edition digipak, as well as on vinyl in different colors.

The Night Flight Orchestra l'avait prouvé : les Suédois sont très forts pour jouer à la machine à remonter le temps. Dans un registre plus heavy/speed, à fond dans les années 80, ENFORCER montre que le pastiche n'exclut pas le talent.

Pas encore acheté mais j'ai adoré ce que j'ai écouté jusqu'à présent. C'est donc mon prochain achat, et je le sens bien pour les classements de l'album de l'année... 
Edith se dit que les japonais ont de la chance:
As far as I know, this was recorded during the sessions for their previous album, 2013's "Death by Fire", and has also been performed live by Enforcer in 2009. The original can be found in the Misfits album "Walk Among Us", which was released in 1982.
The japanese version of "From Beyond" also features two more covers as bonus tracks, "Bursting Out" by Venom (also recorded during "Death by Fire"'s sessions) and "Mean Machine" by Motorhead.

Assurément un des albums de Heavy de l'année (et de Metal tout court d'ailleurs), avec le VISIGOTH pas loin derrière ! Cela dit, je lui préfère toujours Diamonds, leur opus de 2010, plus tubesque à mon sens, et le RIOT de 2014 avait plus de classe.
