La tournée européenne des 20 ans de Holy Land a débuté hier (y a quelques années c'est un truc qui m'aurait excité, là bof...), et c'est bien Fabio Lione au chant (ouf) et Marcelo Barbosa à la gratte (qui joue dans Almah avec Edu Falaschi, le monde du metal brésilien est petit !), le remplaçant temporaire... ou pas de Kiko.

My dear Rhapsody Of Fire fans!

Some of you may know, I wanted to do something different since a long time and I feel the time is right to focus my energies on other projects. This means I won't be able to play with Rhapsody Of Fire anymore. My bandmates have known about this and they are supportive. I know it comes very soon after Fabio’s leaving but I feel that's the best moment to do it as the band is already working on the new line-up.
For a while, I've had a gut feeling that I can't play with Alex anymore. With his dog-like face, he scares the shit out of me! I can't put up with it any longer.

I wish the Band everything positive and best luck for their new chapter with a new singer and new drummer. There will be a fresh line-up for an exciting future. I really trust ROF for finding the most suitable musicians.

All the best to my Rhapsody Of Fire family, friends and fans.

See you on the road somewhere!

Après l'annonce de ce qui est plus ou moins la reformation du groupe sans lui, Staropoli contre attaque en réenregistrant les classiques du groupe ! :lol:

RHAPSODY OF FIRE return with new line-up and a very special release!

After announcing their new line-up recently (the addition of new vocalist Giacomo Voli and drummer Manu Lotter), Italian symphonic power metal kings RHAPSODY OF FIRE are now working on their upcoming release, which will be a 75 minutes long album revisiting a selection of songs written and produced during the 5 first years of the Rhapsody Era (1997-2002).
Yes, indeed: 14 epic tracks completely re-recorded! All drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, vocals, epic choirs, opera choirs, and numerous classical instruments have been recorded already. The album will be mixed by Seeb Levermann (Orden Ogan).

“To re-record old historic tracks is not that common among bands because there is probably a lack of self-confidence or because, for some musicians and fans, what is part of the past should not be touched. We do not agree”, Alex Staropoli says.

RHAPSODY OF FIRE are different and absolutely confident to achieve a stunning result. The precision of playing, the new vocal approach of Giacomo, the modern technologies, a careful mix and great mastering will give the songs a new incredibly great sound. Of course everything is done with immense dedication, passion, emotion and respect for these beautiful tracks co-written by Alex Staropoli and the band’s former guitarist Luca Turilli.

“We already had the chance to listen to some rough mixes and we can clearly say that the result goes far beyond any bright expectations. The result is just fantastic. We can’t wait to start the mix!"

The album will be released during Spring. Exact release date and album title will be announced soon.

Ceci dit, je me dis que les titres les plus anciens avec une prod actuelle, ça peut valoir le coup d'oreille, mais je me dis quand même qu'il y a de grandes chances que ça ne vaille pas le coup, au final.

Ben c'est pas trop compliqué au final : Rhapsody of Turilli (avec Lione et les autres anciens) vont jouer du vieux Rhapsody en live, alors que Rhapsody of Staropoli va le faire sur cd.
