En résumé: tournée d'adieux, trois EPs et un nouveau batteur en la personne d'Anders Johansson (ex HammerFall).
Et depuis que Karl Logan a fait une Michael Jackson, il est remplacé sur scène par l'illustre inconnu E. V. Martel, guitariste d'un tribute band brésilien.

MANOWAR has confirmed the impending release of "The Final Battle I", an EP comprised of eagerly awaited brand new material. Fans will first get their chance to own this initial instalment in a trilogy of thunderous EPs in an exclusive pre-sale at the merchandise booth of the band's "The Final Battle World Tour 2019", starting with MANOWAR's show in Frankfurt, Germany on March 29. An exclusive digital presale period will start on iTunes the same day. The rollout will then continue into retail and online stores on May 30 and digitally on Amazon and Google Play.
The first of three parts which will constitute the highly anticipated new MANOWAR album, this EP is "destined to go down in heavy metal history as one of the most insanely epic releases of all time," according to a press release. "An imperious demonstration of the band's undisputed mastery of both skull-crushing metal anthems and extraordinary feats of symphonic bombast, these four new molten metal tracks have been inspired by MANOWAR's 'The Final Battle World Tour' and fuelled by the support and energy of their fans. All music was conceived, recorded and mixed at MANOWAR's very own Valhalla Studios, utilizing the unparalleled power of their PMC statement monitors with over 27,000 watts of ground-shaking clarity."

"The Final Battle I" covers a vast amount of musical ground in its quest to deliver the ultimate heavy metal experience. The opener, the epic fantasy-brought-to-life "March Of The Heroes Into Valhalla" reimagines MANOWAR's music in vivid, cinematic form, providing a deeply moving journey through the warrior's life, from bloody battles to ascension into Valhalla. The battle-filled mood continues with the spine-shattering might and fury of the new anthem "Blood And Steel". Next is "Sword Of The Highlands", one of the most explosive and dramatic songs DeMaio has ever penned: a profound and stirring tribute to heroes long perished, it begins with exquisite elegance before erupting into a grand crescendo of power and glory, exemplified by a possible career best vocal performance from the ever-impressive Eric Adams. Ok, ils préfèrent nous sortir 3 EP plutôt qu'un seul LP, ça doit être plus rentable pour eux ! Certains trouvent que le nouveau gratteux ne le fait pas en live, perso de ce que j'ai vu ça ne m'a pas choqué.

On July 1, 1983, MANOWAR released its second album, "Into Glory Ride", an imperious statement of metallic intent and one of the most brutal, raw and punishing records ever released. From the opening assault of "Warlord" and the monumental "Gates Of Valhalla" to the devastating drama and doom-laden fury of "Hatred", and culminating in the morbid grandeur of "Revelation (Death's Angel)" and the life-affirming splendor of the closing epic "March For Revenge"… all instantly recognizable as the works of four true metal maniacs.
Forced into a somewhat rushed and compromised production — which did not prevent "Into Glory Ride" from winning a prime place in metal history — "Hail To England" followed a little over six months later. Another record packed with tracks that would soon become fan favorites; from "Bridge Of Death" or the jaw-shattering "Kill With Power" to the stirring melodies of "Hail To England" itself, and others alike.
Now these two immortal landmarks have been revived and revitalized for a completely new and improved experience.
For the "Into Glory Ride Imperial Edition MMXIX" and the "Hail To England Imperial Edition MMXIX", the original multitrack master recordings of these undisputed metal classics were transferred from analog to digital in 96kHz quality, adding the depth, the power and the clarity that could not be present in the original mixes and masters.
Remixed in MANOWAR's very own Valhalla Studios by longtime collaborator Ronald Prent utilizing the mind-boggling 27,000-watt PMC monitors and remastered by four-time Grammy Award winner Darcy Proper, these Imperial Editions are a statement of what MANOWAR are committed to deliver for their loyal followers: the royal standard of sonic bliss.

Posers certes et pas toujours constant en live (trop de blabla et set-list parfois contestable) mais je me souviendrai toujours quand ils avaient fait monter sur scène le guitariste de Stonecast (groupe marseillais) qui était dans la fosse au premier rang au Hellfest 2009 et l'avait laissé joué de la guitare (en étant vraiment branché) et du très beau final sur The Crown and the Ring avec feu d'artifice.

Et moi je me souviendrai toujours du festival Metal Gods à Milan où ils avaient joué Nessun Dorma (oui oui, l'air d'opéra tiré de Turandot de Puccini) devant quelques dizaines de milliers de metalleux italiens dont la plupart étaient en larmes autour de moi !

On March 14, 2020, MANOWAR played its long-awaited first-ever concert in Mexico, headlining the Hell & Heaven Metal Fest in Mexico City. This historic event was recorded in highest definition, with over 15 8K and 4K cameras, a drone and immersive audio setup. The resulting footage will soon be released on Blu-ray, DVD and digital platforms under the title "Hell On Earth VI" (formerly "The Final Battle"). The latest trailer for the set is available below.

MANOWAR Recruits Legendary Guitar Shredder MICHAEL ANGELO BATIO For 2023 Tour
MANOWAR has recruited metal shred legend Michael Angelo Batio to play guitar for the band on its 2023 "Crushing The Enemies Of Metal" tour. The news comes in the wake of guitarist Evandro "EV" Martel's announcement that he will be taking a break from touring for a while for "personal reasons".
Martel wrote on social media: "MANOWAR, their crew, along with all the Manowarriors around the world have been really great to me from the moment I came onboard. I could not be more thankful for the good times we have shared."
MANOWAR bassist Joey DeMaio said: "We love and respect E.V. and support his decision. He is a true brother, and we'll forever share unforgettable memories like playing near the Arctic Circle or in Mexico for the first time!"
Batio, who will play his first shows with MANOWAR starting February 2023, is a veteran both in the studio and on stage.
Voted by Guitar One magazine the "No. 1 Fastest Guitar Shredder of All Time", Chicago native Batio is an accomplished musician in many genres, but is best known for his lightning-fast metal performances. He is renowned the world over for his technical mastery of the fretboard, extremely fast picking and his invention, the "MAB Over Under" technique. His ability to play a double-necked and quad-necked guitar using both hands has earned him the respect of fans and fellow musicians alike.
"We've known Michael for many years and have always admired his work," said DeMaio. "His technique is astounding. When we invited him to come and jam with us, we played together at the speed of light. Everything fell into place immediately. We're ready for a killer tour!"
Michael Angelo Batio said: "I could not be more excited! I love metal more than anything, and it doesn't get more metal than MANOWAR! I can't wait to get on stage and play for the MANOWAR fans!"
MANOWAR's "Crushing The Enemies Of Metal Anniversary Tour 2023" celebrates the band's over-four-decades-long career and iconic albums such as "Battle Hymns", "Into Glory Ride", "The Triumph Of Steel" and "Warriors Of The World".
Martel, who previously played with the Brazilian MANOWAR tribute band KINGS OF STEEL, ended up joining MANOWAR as the replacement for longtime MANOWAR guitarist Karl Logan. This past July, Logan was sentenced to five and a half years in prison for possessing child pornography.
Karl joined MANOWAR in 1994 as the replacement for David Shankle.
Prior to hooking up with MANOWAR, Logan played several bands in northeastern Pennsylvania, including ARC ANGEL and FALLEN ANGEL.

Batio, who will play his first shows with MANOWAR starting February 2023, is a veteran both in the studio and on stage.
Voted by Guitar One magazine the "No. 1 Fastest Guitar Shredder of All Time", Chicago native Batio is an accomplished musician in many genres, but is best known for his lightning-fast metal performances. He is renowned the world over for his technical mastery of the fretboard, extremely fast picking and his invention, the "MAB Over Under" technique. His ability to play a double-necked and quad-necked guitar using both hands has earned him the respect of fans and fellow musicians alike.
"We've known Michael for many years and have always admired his work," said DeMaio. "His technique is astounding. When we invited him to come and jam with us, we played together at the speed of light. Everything fell into place immediately. We're ready for a killer tour!"
Michael Angelo Batio said: "I could not be more excited! I love metal more than anything, and it doesn't get more metal than MANOWAR! I can't wait to get on stage and play for the MANOWAR fans!"
MANOWAR's "Crushing The Enemies Of Metal Anniversary Tour 2023" celebrates the band's over-four-decades-long career and iconic albums such as "Battle Hymns", "Into Glory Ride", "The Triumph Of Steel" and "Warriors Of The World".
Martel, who previously played with the Brazilian MANOWAR tribute band KINGS OF STEEL, ended up joining MANOWAR as the replacement for longtime MANOWAR guitarist Karl Logan. This past July, Logan was sentenced to five and a half years in prison for possessing child pornography.
Karl joined MANOWAR in 1994 as the replacement for David Shankle.
Prior to hooking up with MANOWAR, Logan played several bands in northeastern Pennsylvania, including ARC ANGEL and FALLEN ANGEL.
