Bloodbath sort un split single avec Autopsy:

We have a special treat for fans of the grotesque – as part of the ongoing 7” series marking 30 years of Peaceville comes a new vile treat in the form of a double feature from two titans of death metal - Autopsy have teamed up with the Sweden’s kings of gore Bloodbath to create a limited edition split 7”

Autopsy present a high-octane version of the none-too-subtly titled ‘Fuck You!!!’, originally known from 80’s West Oakland act Bloodbath (which once featured current guitarist Danny Coralles). Bloodbath US was a large inspiration for Autopsy in their formative years, and the track is presented here in an exclusive alternate version to that featured on new MLP, ‘Puncturing the Grotesque’.

Bloodbath bring us their own nod to the past and inspirations, in the form of a relentless rendition of the Cancer classic, ‘Blood Bath’, recorded specially for this release, and giving a clear indication as to where the seeds of their own path to masterful brutality were sown.

The bands comment:
AUTOPSY - "Fuck You!!!" is a cover song of a cover song....and the only song we've ever considered covering. Eric and I loved the version that Danny's old band Bloodbath did before we even knew Danny, let alone knowing that he'd end up joining Autopsy. And Danny didn't even know it was a cover song at the time! Got it? It's a crazy world and a crazy song.
It's also a cool tribute to Dane Petersen (R.I.P.), the original Bloodbath vocalist. We feel we gave it the treatment it deserved....now it's up to you to crank it up and hold those middle fingers high!.

BLOODBATH - "Most of you would know this already, but for those of you who don’t, it was the title of the first song, on the first album by UK death metallers Cancer, which we originally lifted our band name from. Now with Peaceville celebrating its 30th anniversary, there would be no better token than offering this cover song to glorify the old school, brutal and trashy death metal legacy of Cancer fucking Cancer, once more! Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release "Born To Touch Your Feelings - Best Of Rock Ballads", an essential anthology of new and classic recordings from the seminal German hard rock band SCORPIONS, on Friday, November 24.

"Born To Touch Your Feelings - Best Of Rock Ballads" will be available for digital streaming and download as well as a 1CD physical configuration.

Showcasing SCORPIONS' career-spanning command of the rock power ballad idiom they helped pioneer and engineer to perfection, "Born To Touch Your Feelings - Best Of Rock Ballads" includes definitive interpretations of some of the group's most beloved rock anthems as well as the premiere of two brand-new SCORPIONS songs — "Melrose Avenue" and "Always Be With You" — and a scorching 2017 version of "Follow Your Heart", the album's first single, which can be streamed below.

"Always Be With You", the brand new song by Rudolf Schenker, is a deeply emotional declaration of love and story of change written by the guitarist/composer shortly after the birth of his youngest son. "Melrose Avenue", named after one of the most famous strips in Los Angeles, is the most recent song of Matthias Jabs, its music perfectly capturing the enchanting sense of life in California.

"Nowadays, ballads are the pinnacle of rock music," says SCORPIONS frontman Klaus Meine. "If they're well-written, they will go straight to the hearts of the fans."

"Growing up, we didn't really listen to Mozart or Haydn but rather to Elvis, THE ROLLING STONES or Little Richard," says SCORPIONS founder Rudolf Schenker. "But still, the more serious kind of music is what we were influenced by starting at a very young age. There's no denying that."

The album features original artwork from photographer Ellen von Unwerth and production by Mikael Nord Andersson and Martin Hansen.

Forty years ago, the SCORPIONS song "Born To Touch Your Feelings" was released for the first time and it stands to this day as an abiding musical credo of Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker, Matthias Jabs, Pawel Maciwoda and Mikkey Dee.

Meine revealed during last month's SiriusXM Town Hall radio interview that the band's record company "wanted us to come up with a couple of bonus tracks" for the best-of-ballads collection "and we went in the studio and everybody came up with great ideas… We just finished a recording session and listened to the first mixes and stuff, and it sounds pretty good. It's gonna be a 'best of ballads,' but with those new tracks. And it's gonna be a cool project."

Regarding how the idea for the collection came about, Klaus said: "Sony Music approached us and said, 'C'mon, guys. You have so many powerful songs. And we wanna put it together in some kind of compilation you guys never did before.'"

Meine added that while the SCORPIONS are known in the U.S.A. mostly for their harder-edged material, like "Rock You Like A Hurricane", "in other parts of the world, SCORPIONS are very famous for the ballads, like 'Still Loving You' in France. And in Asia, they love the ballads, and in Russia, 'Wind Of Change' and all those songs are very powerful — equally as powerful as 'Rock You Like A Hurricane' here," he said. "So we talked about [doing] this. In different parts of the world, people like different types of music. So we can offer [a compilation that includes all the best of the softer songs]."

Quand j'ai lu la news ici, j'ai regardé quelques vidéos du nouveau lors de ses apparitions sur X factor.
Bon, le gars, y'a rien à dire, il sait interpréter.
Mais sur la vidéo de halleluyah, on voit son gamin.
Vu le passé du groupe concernant la dope, ça me fait mal de voir un papa y aller.
J'aime beaucoup le groupe, hein.
C'est juste que j'ai l'impression qu'il y a un gars, certes avec une bonne voix, père de famille et sans réelle expérience du milieu qui se lance dans une expérience qui peut vite le dépasser.
Il n'y avait pas que Weiland comme junkie.

Au passage, tout comme j'aurais beaucoup de mal à écouter du Alice in Chains sans Staley, je ne me vois pas écouter du STP sans Weiland.
Quand dans certains cas les groupes évoluent suite à mésententes, pourquoi pas.
Mais je pense que Nirvana (exemple) a fait le bon choix en ne continuant pas sans le leader.

Il va de soi que je ne demande pas aux musiciens d'arrêter leur carrière. Juste qu'il faut passer à autre chose, même si ça implique de repartir de presque zéro niveau notoriété et exposition.

Vous avez entendu parler du ré-étiquetage de la viande en supermarché ?
Ben j'aurais un peu cette impression. Le morceau de viande commence a avoir une sale gueule ? On va couper la surface, changer la date, et le remettre dans un bel emballage.
Le consommateur pas trop regardant y trouvera son compte, le connaisseur détectera la supercherie. Et le gars de passage risque de tomber malade.

Je croyais ça aussi puis j'ai écouté l'album Black Gives Way To Blue à sa sortie. Il est à tomber. Tout simplement.

Good song, terrible guitar production. Sounds like the kind of buzzsaw distortion I got recording my 50 dollar guitar directly into windows sound recorder back in 2000.

I agree with you there dude,
The distort guitars was lacking of echoes and tail...
The drum sounds especially, the double bass kick sounding like any demo will do...
And the vocals need to be a little bit louder...
Good song, but less good production and mastering...

Marionettetc guitars on Dark Assault have been recorded with a Digitech 2112 directly from the box simulation... maybe like your windows guitars back in 2000... On the new record - like on all records before starting on Condition Red - guitars were recorded with a microphone and a real speaker. The sound on Riding On Fire is based on a Marshall 2000. So yes: you are mistaken

KING CRIMSON repart en tournée l'année prochaine. Deux dates de prévues à Paris pour l'instant. En semaine. :cry:

(ça vaudrait le coup de choper l'accrèd', c'est plus de 50 boules la place).
Et toujours pas de nouvel album de prévu :

"Rendez-vous à l’Olympia en novembre 2018 !

Après cinq dates parisiennes réparties entre 2015 et 2016 dans le cadre de la tournée The Elements of King Crimson, le groupe de rock progressif britannique se prépare à une nouvelle tournée européenne pour l’automne 2018. Cette dernière, intitulée Uncertain Times sera conclue par deux dates dans la Capitale, à L’Olympia les 15 et 16 novembre.

Tout comme leur précédente tournée, cette prochaine ne défendra pas de nouvel album studio, le dernier, The Power to Believe, étant sorti en 2003.

King Crimson a néanmoins rendu hommage à David Bowie en 2017 avec un EP intitulé Heroes, dans lequel figure une reprise du morceau éponyme. Le groupe l’avait d’ailleurs jouée au cours de sa tournée la même année."
