SPIRITUAL BEGGARS – Debut first “Sunrise To Sundown” single; Tour announced!

Swedish vintage style hard rock pioneers SPIRITUAL BEGGARS return with their 9th studio album entitled “Sunrise To Sundown”, which will be released on March 18th, 2016 in Europe as well as March 25th, 2016 in North America via InsideOutMusic.

Therefore the band is now debuting the album’s first single for the title-track “Sunrise To Sundown” launched on the website of UK’s Classic Rock Magazine. Check out the song here:

SPIRITUAL BEGGARS guitarist Michael Amott checked in with the following comment about the song:
"I wrote 'Sunrise To Sundown' last year and brought into the jam room, where it very quickly went from a basic idea to a finished arrangement in something like five minutes! Some songs come fast and others take time to fully develop, you never know when inspiration hits you...and therein somewhere lies the beauty of creating music. The lyrics follow that train of thought too, talking about following your chosen path and turning your dreams into reality - two things I believe in very much."

Just like on their previous two album releases, “Return To Zero” (2010) and “Earth Blues” (2013), SPIRITUAL BEGGARS stellar line-up is consists of bandleader Michael Amott (Arch Enemy, ex Carcass) on guitars, teaming up with Apollo Papathanasio (ex Firewind) on vocals, Sharlee D'Angelo (Arch Enemy, Witchery) on bass, Per Wiberg (Candlemass, ex Opeth) on keyboards as well as Ludwig Witt (Grand Magus, Firebird) on drums.

Bon après plusieurs écoute je peux dire que cet album est vraiment cool !
Pourtant je ne suis pas fan du chant d'Apollo Papathanasio, c'est pour ca que je n'aime pas Return to Zero et que j'ai du mal avec Earth Blues. Enfin ce serait malhonnête de tout lui foutre sur la gueule alors que c'est aussi le style qui me dérangeait. Avant j'aimais bien Spiritual Beggars pour son stoner crasseux et le chant de Spice qui allait bien avec. Le truc à écouter à fond en bagnole. Et du coup leur virage vintage m'a un peu décu.
Est ce qu'il m'a fallu 3 albums pour enfin m'habituer et apprécier Apollo Papaoutai et ce style bien plus 70ies, ou bien est ce que ce nouvel album est vraiment meilleur que les deux précédents, je ne sais pas. Vous en pensez quoi vous ?

Pas encore assez écouté le nouveau pour te répondre, mais qu'est-ce que tu penses des albums avec JB de Grand Magus au chant ? C'est à ce moment là qu'ils ont changé de style, et il n'y avait pas encore Apollo. :huh?:

Pour Demons j'ai moins accroché, mais du coup je l'avais peu écouté, je ne me souviens pas exactement.

Le Monsieur t'as dit qu'il était fan des vieux Beggars avec Spice, il ne peut qu'aimer Ad Astra (mon préféré de l'époque Spice) ! :bob:

Pareil, je trouve que On Fire est vraiment un de leurs tous meilleurs albums alors que Demons m'avait pas mal déçu à sa sortie. Il est un peu plus metal, plus 80's dans l'inspiration que 70's, et surtout un peu moins inspiré.

Ad Astra est mon préféré aussi ! Par contre il commence trop fort avec Left Brain Ambassadors. Même si le reste est excellent, il n'y a qu'avec Angel of Betrayal qu'on retrouve le même niveau

Il pue la coolitude à un degré incroyable cet album! Je m'y attendais mais à ce point-là c'est assez génial!
Le morceau Lonely Freedom est fabuleux! :cool:

C'est langoureux, c'est groovy as fuck, c'est hypnotique, c'est ultra entêtant, c'est parfait! flower

Je tiens mon album des beaux jours, c'est sûr!

Comme depuis quelques Lp : je l'écoute beaucoup à sa sortie puis il reste à traîner dans un coin...Pour finir dans la bagnole (c'est pas plus mal, pour rouler c'est d'la bombe de balle).

Il est plutôt bon et passe toujours très bien mais il est quand même un cran en dessous de son grand frère, qui était parfait de bout en bout il faut bien le dire .
