DECAPITATED - Cancer Culture (27 mai 2022)

Decapitated will release their diverse follow-up to 2017’s Anticult, entitled Cancer Culture, on May 27 via Nuclear Blast.

Instantly recognizable devastation and deceptively sinister hooks abound. Freshly minted Decapitated anthems, like the title track "Cancer Culture", shimmer with sonically sharp production and unrelenting bombast.

Waclaw ‘Vogg’ Kieltyka on the first single: "It wasn't easy to pick the first single from Cancer Culture. Each song has this different vibe that we would like to show as soon as possible and be proud of. Since 'Cancer Culture' is the first song from the album, we decided that this would be the perfect way to introduce you to new music. It is the album's opening chapter, and you know, what you can expect. "

Mastermind Vogg continues:  "Finally, after so many months of waiting, we got it. The announcement of our brand new album Cancer Culture and a new single is on! The expectations were high, and we also gave ourselves a massive challenge with this album. But I think hard work pays off. We had an opportunity to gather amazing people who took care of the production and helped us deliver the best we could with this album. Again, Jarek Szubrycht (Carnival is Forever) has written amazing lyrics for us about the disproportion between the dreams, ambitions, and aspirations of humanity. The leading engineer of the album was Tomasz Zed Zalewski (Anticult), David Castillo, responsible for mixing the album, and Ted Jensen for the final touch for mastering. For the cover, for the first time, we have worked with Fabio Timpanaro, an Italian artist whose art perfectly describes what we wanted to tell through visual art. Don't misinterpret the title meaning of the album. It has a much broader context. You will be surprised at what we have delivered this time."

The band is also pleased to announce re-scheduled Irish/UK dates for their 25th Anniversary Tour, which was recently postponed due to the ongoing pandemic situation. The masterly death metallers will hit the stages throughout this March and April, accompanied by new special guests Signs Of The Swarm and Harbinger.

Edit a parlé trop vite

D'après metal archives ce bon Robb serait en guest sur "Iconoclast". Tant qu'il ne vient pas rapper comme sur le dernier et tellement oubliable Once Human, ça ne me dérangerait pas (s'il déterrait un peu la hargne mongolo qu'il sait déployer comme à ses débuts ou sur certains passages du triplé Ashes/Blackening/Locust ce serait top)

Et bien justement

Et un autre single qui bastonne pas mal aussi. Je le sens vraiment bien cet album, potentiellement dans mon top 3.

Ah putain oui c'est bonnard!

Et la chanson avec Rob Flynn, pour le coup, même s'il chante en voix claire, il n'a pas utilisé son registre le plus larmoyant et ça se marie assez bien avec le style plus agressif des Decap'

Le deuxième single "Just a cigarette" déchire. Celui avec Flynn est très bon aussi. Je vais suivre ça avec intérêt.
