The creators of CINEMATIC METAL are finally back with their most outstanding record: »Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus«, which is set to be released on June 19th (EU), June 22nd (UK), June 30th (US) by Nuclear Blast Records.

The album was composed and produced once again by Luca Turilli, responsible as always of all the orchestral and choral arrangements. It was recorded and mixed at the Backyard Studios of Sebastian Roeder (Bonfire a.o.) and mastered by Christoph Stickel (Michael Schenker’s TEMPLE OF ROCK a.o.) at MSM studios.

Seven months of composition, three months of production, over 50 days of mix, two choirs, several special guests, including Ralf Scheepers (PRIMAL FEAR), Dan Lucas (KARO) and David Readman (PINK CREAM 69). Including 70 minutes of epic music, sounding cinematic, bombastic and dramatic as never before, the new Luca Turilli’s RHAPSODY masterwork will lead the listener to an emotional and memorable journey between quantum gates, parallel dimensions, myths and legends hiding cosmic truths, ancestral secrets and spiritual revelations.

And this time it was not enough for the band to simply sound CINEMATIC. It came the time for RHAPSODY to finally “look” CINEMATIC too. Therefore, the new cover artwork and the album booklet, introducing the new cinematic graphic style of the band, were realized by the well-known amazing artist named Stefan “Heile” Heilemann (EPICA, LINDEMANN a.o.).

The first single, entitled 'Rosenkreuz (The Rose And The Cross)' will be released on April 24th, 2015. The long-awaited orchestral ballad 'Fantasia Gotica', not included in the full length album, will be released as a bonus song before the same album release. More news will follow soon on how to get it for free!

The digipak version of the album will include the cinematic version of 'Thundersteel', the famous song of RIOT, performed by the Luca Turilli’s RHAPSODY singer Alessandro Conti in duet with Ralf Scheepers!

Ils doivent se taper des barres de rire, les gens qui écrivent la promotion de l'album. Parce que quand même le "And this time it was not enough for the band to simply sound CINEMATIC. It came the time for RHAPSODY to finally “look” CINEMATIC too", c'est quand même exceptionnel !

Bon sinon 70 minutes... je crois que j'écouterai vite fait, mais que sinon ce sera sans moi.

Je crois pas qu'il y ait du Rhapsody, de tête. Mais ça pourrait!

Et sinon, ce sera sans moi, j'ai lâché le(s) groupe(s) après la séparation. Ça donne vraiment trop dans l'autoparodie.

Dis pas de mal de Turilli, toi, ou je te pourfends avec mon Emerald Sword of Doom !

Bah pourtant le 1er Luca Turilli's Rhapsody était de très bonne qualité, bien meilleur que les deux derniers Rhapsody avec lui, qui pour le coup sombraient vraiment dans la caricature.

Et cent fois meilleur que le Rhapsody sans lui. (Frozen Tears of Angels était bon, revenait à un truc plus couillu, après l'E.P. était une immonde daube).

Absolument. Je pense que cet album peut être bon. On va voir si Turilli se crame.

Avant le split, Rhapsody était sur une bonne pente. En tout logique, ils se sont séparés... Le premier album de Rhapsody version Turilli était sympa, mais loin d'être transcendant. Et au final, dans la durée ça ne valait pas grand chose hélas. Je l'ai à la maison et je ne l'écoute jamais (du coup je vais l'écouter puisqu'on en parle !).

J'écouterai sans doute cet album sans rien en espérer de génial, mais je suis trop fan du jeu de Turilli pour complètement laisser de côté !

C'est très chiant.

C'est super mauvais. La guitare est mis de côté sauf pour le solo et la batterie fait de la boîte à rythme. Quant au chant il est ridicule (et les paroles... mais sérieux les mecs non quoi).

C'est pas terrible, dites donc...

On peut plus en attendre grand chose de toute façon....

Je l'ai trouvé plutôt intéressant cet album, mais fichtre, il n'est pas facile d'accès ! Par contre le pavé final qui ne va nul part, outch, il rabaisse mon appréciation de l'album.

Il se trouve d'ailleurs que je me suis replongé dans les albums récents de Rhapsody, et franchement je pense que cette scission est une bonne chose. Le Rhapsody de Staropoli n'est finalement pas si mal que ça et propose une bonne alternative à la vision ultra symphonique qu'a Turilli. Amusant d'ailleurs que ce soit le claviériste qui propose l'album le plus Metal et donc accès gratte et le guitariste qui propose l'album le plus sympho avec des grattes très en retrait dans le mix.

LUCA TURILLI’S RHAPSODY sortira Prometheus, The Dolby Atmos Experience + Cinematic And Live, le 9 décembre via Nuclear Blast.

Il s’agit d’une réédition du dernier album du groupe, Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus, originellement paru en juin 2015, spécialement mixé par le producteur Chris Heil en Dolby Atmos. Il s’agit d’une technologie de son immersif tridimensionnel, ajoutant une dimension verticale et le concept d’objet sonore au traditionnel mixage sonore sur 5.1 ou 7.1 canaux, offrant ainsi un niveau de réalisme accru.

L’album sera accompagné d’un double CD live, intitulé Cinematic And Live, enregistre en Italie, France, Allemagne et Espagne en 2012 et 2016, contenant presque la totalité des chansons jouées par LUCA TURILLI’S RHAPSODY jusqu’à présent. Ce live a été mixé par Christian « Moschus » Moos et masterisé par Simone Mularoni.

RHAPSODY: THE 20th ANNIVERSARY REUNION FAREWELL TOUR

Fabio Lione, Luca Turilli, Dominique Leurquin, Patrice Guers and Alex Holzwarth proudly announce the reunion of the original members of RHAPSODY, and the relevant farewell tour of the band.

The Italian band Rhapsody, one of the greatest icons of Symphonic Power Metal, will gather together to commemorate the 20th Anniversary from their first official release, playing their album “Symphony Of Enchanted Lands” in full, as well as other classics of the band. It will be an exciting and emotional event no one should ever miss, as this will be the only and last chance to see the band performing on stage together. The Rhapsody’s 20th Anniversary Farewell Tour will be hosted by Top Link Music.

Since its consecration in 1997 with the album “Legendary Tales”, Rhapsody has become a worldwide awarded band thanks to its unique, epic and orchestral sound. Initially baptized in the “Hollywood Metal” style, because of its movies-related fascination and its characteristic epic soundtrack elements, the Italian band established itself as one of the biggest names in Symphonic Power Metal thanks to their second release “Symphony Of Enchanted Lands”, which soon became a classic of that music genre. Rhapsody’s main influences also include classical composers such as Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven, Paganini and many others (the song “The Wizard's Last Rhymes” from Rain Of A Thousand Flames, for example, is based on Antonín Dvořák’s “New World Symphony”). These elements made the band clearly unique in the whole heavy metal scene and, thanks to its magic, gathered lots of fans all over the world and inspired many bands, giving birth to a brand new musical wave and genre, that established a real and effective Rhapsody imagery. The 20th Anniversary Farewell Tour will represent a last chance for everyone to feel part of that wonderful magic once again. Luca, Fabio, Patrice, Dominique and Alex will celebrate such important and historical event with and for their amazing fans!
