MOONSPELL - Extinct (mars 2015)

The new Moonspell album Extinct due for release, via Napalm Records, on March 2015 is all but a musical and emotional manifesto.
It puts the D of Darkness back into Dark Metal. It's a true lesson for the new generations of Goth Metal about how it's played and felt with body and soul; a lesson taught by no others than our Portuguese gentlemen wolves: Moonspell, one of the very few pioneers of the style still around, contemporary to the greats, and for more than 20 years, signing their souls away to the lunar side, when they go deep into writing an album.
Extinct will be exemplary and it will leave a profound mark on the scene and on the fans, once it sees the light of day in March 2015. It was produced by Jens Bogren (Katatonia, Amon Amarth, Opeth and Paradise Lost) in Sweden's renowned Fascination Street studio and here are the titles of the tracks you will find on the new Moonspell record:

Also confirmed are the Portuguese dates of the tour. March 27th, a homecoming gig at the prestigious Lisbon Coliseum and a much-anticipated return to the great city of Porto, on the 28th, in the awesome Hard Club. Both shows will be presented by Everything is New, Portuguese leading promoters. Portuguese wolves, be sure to get your ticket to these gigantic shows with Septic Flesh!

En même temps c'est pas vraiment une nouveauté pour eux, ils ont toujours eu des morceaux dans ce style sur la plupart de leurs albums, et d'autres qui n'avaient rien à voir. Attendons un 2eme extrait.

Décidément, j'ai du mal avec le growl de Ribeiro...
Mis à part ça, ces deux titres sont pas mauvais, avec une nette préférence pour le premier (ce côté Depeche Mode, ça me parle plus).

Après écoute de ce titre fadasse, je me suis réécouté avec nostalgie la période Sin Pecado.
C'était expérimental et pas vraiment du métal mais c'était bien !
